Welcome

Founded in 1959, Grace Episcopal School provides an excellent, developmentally appropriate education for children in Preschool through Grade Five.  We offer a warm and nurturing environment beginning at age three and continue with a strong academic program for the elementary grades, emphasizing the basic tools of learning - reading, writing, and mathematics.

We serve students with the ability and readiness to participate and progress within an academically challenging curriculum and an enriching environment where learning is enjoyed and sharing is commonplace.  The curriculum is varied - rich in music, literature, art, history, science, technology, religion, and physical education.  Spiritual and moral values plus service to others are emphasized, both within the school community and beyond.

Low student-teacher ratios give our faculty the freedom to inspire students to reach their maximum potential.  Our students learn to become critical thinkers and successful problem solvers.

Grace Episcopal School is licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia and is accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools (VAIS).  In addition, we are affiliated with the National Association of Episcopal Schools (NAES), the Mid-Atlantic Episcopal Schools Association (MAESA), and are members of the Association of Independent Schools of Greater Washington (AISGW).

Grace Episcopal School accepts qualified children regardless of racial, national, socio-economic or cultural backgrounds.
