Application Deadlines for the 2021-22 School Year

Application due dates are listed below. Please note that the due date differs for Grace's Early Childhood Program and Elementary Program. Applications received after the due dates listed will be considered on a rolling admissions basis. Grace's Admissions Committee meets in late February and applicant families in Kindergarten through Fifth Grade are notified on March 5 at 4 pm by email and by mail soon after.

Preschool and Junior Kindergarten: Applications for our Preschool and Junior Kindergarten classes are due January 19, 2021 in order to be considered for admission for the 2021-22 school  year.  

Kindergarten through Grade Five: Applications for our Kindergarten through Grade 5 classes are due February 5, 2021 in order to be considered for admission for the 2021-22 school year.

Visit Us: Open House + Information Session Dates

Get to know Grace by visiting one of our virtual or in-person informational events.  The first event is our Virtual Open House on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. The next event will be Wednesday, January 13, 2021 (format to be determined).  

Our final formal opportunity to learn more about Grace is on Thursday, April 15, 2021.  This preview event (Glimpse of Grace) is for families interested in admission for the 2021-2022 school year and beyond.

Virtual Tours by Appointment

Private virtual tours are conducted most mornings between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. and most afternoons between 1:00-2:45 p.m.  Contact the admissions office by calling us at 703-549-5067, ext. 115, or by emailing to schedule a virtual tour.

Saturday In-Person Tours

We hope to launch in-person tours, on select Saturdays beginning in October, for those families that have already completed an application for the 2021-2022 school year and paid the application fee.  If you are interested in an in-person tour, please contact the admissions office by calling us at 703-549-5067, ext. 115, or by emailing

Application Checklist

The following steps are necessary in order for the Admissions Committee to consider your child's application to Grace Episcopal School.

  • 1. Schedule a virtual tour of the school or attend a virtual Open House/Information Session.
  • 2. Complete an online application or return a completed paper application to the school, along with the $75 non-refundable application fee.
  • 3. Schedule admissions testing where applicable: Please speak to the admissions office for more information regarding testing guidelines. Test results should be sent directly to Grace Episcopal School. 
  • 4. Give the confidential teacher recommendation form and the records release form to your child's current teacher and school office.  These forms should be mailed or emailed to Grace Episcopal School directly.
  • 5. Schedule a Parent Session with our Director of Admissions.  Email to schedule this phone call or virtual meeting once you have completed an application.
  • 6. Once the file is complete, our Admissions Office will schedule a virtual visit with the applicant.

The application deadlines are January 19, 2021 (Early Childhood Program) and February 5, 2021 (Elementary Program), with all supporting paperwork due by February 10th.
